Kyoto University Private University Management Academy
This Unit, in partnership with the regional community, manages Kyoto University Private University Academy, a program for working adults. Participants in this program study the administration of private universities, exploring all aspects of school management and operation, developing comprehensive skills in university design, management and administration, including management analysis and tabling of improvement plans. Kyoto University Private University Academy is certified by the Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare (MHLW) as a designated course of specialized and practical education and training. It is also a course corresponding to a “Brush Up Program for Professional (BP) under the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), with key attention paid to empowerment of women, support for hiring and countryside revitalization. Through a curriculum that embraces a wide range of fields, Kyoto University Private University Academy supports the development of personnel who possess the specialized knowledge and practical skills necessary to lead the operation of a center of higher learning.
