Toward precision medicine for healthy aging
My vision for the future is one where scientific advancements in genomics foster healthy aging, address rare genetic disorders, and combat mitochondrial diseases. My research focuses on decoding and recoding smart genetic switches that regulate gene expression. By understanding how genes are turned on and off through an approach that analyzes genes, RNA, and proteins simultaneously, we aim to delay age-related diseases, treat genetic disorders, and enhance mitochondrial function. I am committed to democratizing healthcare and ensuring our innovative transcription therapeutics and diagnostics are accessible to all. By merging scientific rigor with dedication to social justice, I believe we can create a future where all individuals benefit from longer, healthier lives, free from the constraints of genetic disorders and mitochondrial diseases.
