Kyoto University Psycological Science Unit: An industrial-academic consortium
Kyoto University Psycological Science Unit was established in 2021 to promote interdisciplinary academic research across more than 15 departments, involving over 70 researchers 70 individuals in over 15 disciplines at the University, including psychology, cognitive science, neurology and informatics related to “Kokoro,” which is oriented heart and minds.
That same year, to put research results to work in communities through partnership with companies and local governments, the unit launched the Psycological Science Industrial-Academic Consortium. Through Kokoro Science College, where students explore the latest research results, as well as through exchange with scientists, the Unit is constructing an industrial-governmental-academic network to address social issues.
