Toward childrenʼs academic achievement and happiness
Graduate School of Education
Japan has many children who feel lonely, and the number of children not attending school is increasing. In contrast, Dutch children are known to have high overall well-being, particularly in terms of mental well-being. By focusing on Dutch education in my research, I want to contribute to education that ensures academic achievement while helping each child to feel valued and happy. Of course, it is impossible to directly implement in Japan overseas education systems shaped by different cultures and societies. However, examining what is discussed in other countries and the resulting outcomes can provide insights and help us re-evaluate Japanese education.
